Paul Pennington attended Career Day at Shelton School and talked about what a Property Tax Consultant does.

Members of P.E. Pennington volunteered at OurCalling, a charity with a mission of helping our unsheltered homeless neighbors walk with Jesus and get off the streets.  Here’s a short video of our experience.

Paul Pennington recently spoke to the Texas Assoication of Property Tax Professionals along with Kyle Mauro of Hillco and Carl Walker with the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association on the 2025 Texas Legislative Session.

The Texas Constitution allows the legislature to exempt business personal property held or used to produce income from property taxes provided the property has a taxable value below the minimum costs of administering the tax, considered to be $2,500.  Now that voters passed Proposition 9, the constitution will allow an exemption of $125,000 of the market value of the same property.

Paul Pennington was awarded the Ellis Allen Award For lifetime achievement in property tax profession by the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals. This award has only been given six times. Mr. Pennington said he was extremely humbled for being recognized.

Paul Pennington has been awarded the 2016 Property Tax Article of the Year Award from the Institute for Professionals in Taxation for his article entitled, “A Texas Challenge,” published in the September 2015 issue of IPT Insider. Article Here
